Beaded Flowers on the Web! New Year Message! Past When I first started Beaded Garden in 2000 there were no in-print English language beaded flower books available. The 1960s and 70s classics could be found on ebay for high prices ranging from $50 to $200 for some of the rarer books! However, there were a few foreign language books available. My first offerings were these French, Italian and Japanese language beaded flower books that were so difficult to find. Things changed in November 2001 with the publication of Dalene Kelly’s French Beaded Flowers New Millenium Collection. The number of beaded flower enthusiasts grew and grew and more English language books were published and some of the old classics were reprinted. Present Now, beaded flower books are readily available in English. There continues to be beautiful books in French, Italian, Russian and Japanese all of which offer wonderful variations on the basic techniques as well as stunning inspiration and beautiful photography. I’ve already made some changes on the web site and not all items are listed yet. Patterns are available for immediate download with payment and most of the books are listed. The shopping cart now accepts PalPal as well as credit cards. Future This brief history of the revival of beaded flowers in the past 6 years leads up to the changes Beaded Garden is undergoing. I plan to make BeadedGarden.com the best repository of information on Beaded Flowers on the Internet. I will continue to sell related products but many of the books will be offered through my association with Amazon.com. This means that I will get a very small percentage of each sale if you purchase the book by clicking through my site. I hope you will continue to support Beaded Garden in this new way.
